The Manfred Lachs was founded in 1992 by the IISL which was looking to create a unique experience for Space Lawyers

The Manfred Lachs covers five world regions:

North America, Latin America, Europe, Asia Pacific and Africa.

IISL Young Scholars Awards

The IISL Young Scholars Fund was created in 2011 to support the achievements of participating students by granting monetary awards.

We feel it is essential that this competition be an educative,

fruitful and positive experience and we hope you will enjoy

putting yourself in a Space Lawyer’s shoes.

Stay Professional since you are representing your universities. Express yourself eloquently and respectfully while speaking to the jury and others. This is a useful skill set that translates well into every career that you may pursue.

Pump up your teammates during the competition and support your competitors outside the competition since they might become your future co-workers and friends!

Every problem has a solution and is a learning opportunity that will help you become a more adept, successful and have a good stress anagement when you encounter DIFFICULT situations.
